A school principal was arrested at Dharan, eastern region of Nepal for sexually assaulting his students. Ten girls at Emanuuel International Boarding School lodged a police complaint, accusing school principal Kapin Marak of sexually assaulting them.
The survivors, who have been staying in the school’s hostel, are aged between 10 and 13. The police have detained the accused for necessary investigations. Marak, a permanent resident of Manipur India, has denied wrongdoing. According to some locals, who were involved in rescuing the victims, Marak had tried to touch their private parts and kiss them many times.
Maiti Nepal is of the view that these sorts of barbarous violence to minors are severe forms of crime and the perpetrator must be penalized to the maximum limit mandated by law.
