the women from daily wage earners, backward, and the marginalized families living in Kanchanpur
district. The campaign started as a relief program to supply nutritious food to women and children at least
once a day in this lockdown.
The implementation began on Asar 16 with the distribution of nutritious food to 260 women and children,
tends to continue till the 56th day. Similarly, keeping the effect of coronavirus in mind, organizers
distributed masks and sanitizer amongst the women and children and made aware of the situation we are
currently in and how severe it can become if people don’t pay attention to it.
Meanwhile, the chief of Bhimdattanagar municipality, Mr. Surendra Bista inaugurated the campaign and
showed support to this cause and the effort of the Maiti Nepal family. Even in this hard time of lockdown
Maiti Nepal is trying best to support and supply food and preventive measures to the women and children
and educating them on COVID-19.
