As a result of the 2010 International Convention for the Protection of All Persons from Enforced Disappearances, the United Nations designated 30 August as the International Day of the Victims of Enforced Disappearances to be commemorated annually around the world. In the year 2022, 1791 missing cases were registered at Maiti Nepal only.
This serves as a poignant reminder that such injustices should never be forgotten, urging us to stand together in solidarity with affected families and communities worldwide.
