Project Duration: 1st January to 31st December 2025
Operation Locations: Chitwan and Kakarvitta
The project prevents trafficking and sexual exploitation of vulnerable young women and girls, especially those from low- income families, school drop-outs, domestic workers, children of separated parents, survivors of abuse, and those living near border areas. It focuses on identifying and intercepting girls and women at risk at key border points and provides them with shelter, care, and protection.

It supports the operation of two Transit Homes in the project locations, offering a safe and supportive environment for recovery and reintegration. The project also rescues girls who have been trafficked across the border and helps them begin the process of healing and rebuilding their lives.
In addition, the project conducts community awareness programs, including campaigns and events to mark key international days such as the World Day Against Trafficking in Persons and others, to raise awareness and foster community vigilance. It emphasizes coordination and collaboration with key stakeholders, including government authorities, law enforcement, local NGOs, and community leaders, to strengthen the overall response to trafficking and ensure effective protection, prevention, and rehabilitation efforts.
