Established in March 2002 in Bargachhi, Sunsari District, the Itahari Rehabilitation Home serves as a safe space for children and women vulnerable to trafficking and exploitation. Located in Nepal’s Eastern Development Region, it provides support to individuals from Morang and Jhapa districts, aiming to prevent human rights violations and help survivors rebuild their lives.

Our program focuses on empowerment by offering income-generating training, leadership development, and life skills training. Survivors also receive awareness sessions on human trafficking and unsafe migration to help them make informed decisions about their futures.

After completing their training, many survivors reintegrate with their families, using their skills to contribute to household income. For those without family support, we facilitate job placements or connect them to Maiti Nepal’s Women Rehabilitation Center in Kathmandu, ensuring they have access to further opportunities for stability and growth.
