ABOUT MAITI NEPAL
Maiti Nepal: A Sanctuary of Hope and Justice

Maiti Nepal, founded by Ms. Anuradha Koirala in 1993, has been resolute in its mission to combat human trafficking, rescue victims, and advocate the rights of women and children in Nepal. What started as a modest shelter for a handful of survivors has evolved into a diverse organization. Maiti Nepal not only saves and helps survivors of violence but also empowers them through education and vocational training, promoting long-term sustainability.
The organization’s remarkable work hasn’t gone unnoticed; it has garnered recognition and awards, including the prestigious CNN Hero of the Year Award and the Padma Shri Award for its founder. As we delve into Maiti Nepal’s world, you’ll encounter stories of resilience, hope, and transformation that emanate from the organization’s dedicated efforts. Maiti Nepal stands as a beacon of compassion and determination, striving to create a world free from exploitation and abuse.
