Project Duration: January 2025 to December 2025
Operation Locations: Kathmandu District, Makwanpur District, and Rasuwa District
Consolidated Actions Against Human Trafficking 2025 is a critical initiative to combat human trafficking in Kathmandu, Makwanpur, and Rasuwa districts. This project provides comprehensive rehabilitation services, including shelter, food, healthcare, psychosocial counseling, and legal aid for survivors of trafficking and gender-based violence. In Kathmandu, the project supports the Child Protection Center and Women’s Rehabilitation Center at Maiti Nepal’s head office, as well as the Information and Surveillance Center in Thankot. In Makwanpur, support is directed toward a Prevention Home in Hetauda, while in Rasuwa, it supports a Transit Home.

In addition, the program focuses on long-term reintegration through leadership and livelihood training, family reunification, and skills development such as food and beverage training. Awareness campaigns, stakeholder engagement, and capacity-building initiatives further strengthen efforts to prevent trafficking and unsafe migration. By addressing the root causes of trafficking and providing holistic support to survivors, this initiative aims to create a safer and more resilient environment for vulnerable women and children in these districts.
Project Objectives:
- To rescue and intercept women and girls from trafficking and various forms of exploitation, both across borders and internally.
• To promote the social and economic empowerment of trafficking survivors and facilitate their successful reintegration into society.
• To prevent sexual exploitation of children (SEC) and trafficking in persons through sustained lobbying and advocacy with concerned stakeholders.
• To raise awareness and sensitize communities about SEC and human trafficking through various awareness programs.
• To rehabilitate and provide comprehensive and holistic support to the survivors of trafficking.
