Maiti Nepal tirelessly battles against human trafficking and exploitation, ensuring education for children
stands out as a key priority. Education opens the door to a fulfilling life for these children.
Currently, Maiti Nepal provides a home for about 250 children from diverse backgrounds at its
Rehabilitation and Child Protection Home.
The Education Sponsorship Program, a vital initiative of Maiti Nepal, catalyzes youngsters toward
constructive paths in their lives. Thanks to the support of various donors and sponsors, Maiti Nepal
offers educational scholarships to its beneficiaries and underprivileged children, enabling them to
pursue higher education in various academic institutions. This program has empowered more than
200 students to engage in school-level education up to bachelor’s degree programs in fields like Hotel
Management, Computer Science, Journalism, Medicine, and Engineering across different institutions in
Nepal and India.
In 2023, the Education Sponsorship Program directly supported 212 beneficiaries under the care of
Maiti Nepal.
Among the 212 beneficiaries,
51 are pursuing their Bachelor’s degree:
- Bachelors Business Studies- 23
- Bachelors in Arts- 4
- Bachelors in Social Work- 18
- Bachelor of Arts in Social Work- 4
- Bachelors in Public Health- 1
- Bachelors in Information Technology- 1
6 beneficiaries are pursuing their diploma:
- Diploma in Hotel Management- 1
- Diploma in Civil Engineering- Architecture- 1
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering- 1
- Diploma in Physiotherapy- 1
- Diploma in Fashion Designing- 1
- Diploma in Agricultural in Animal Science- 1
14 are pursuing their higher secondary degree from different colleges in Nepal.
139 beneficiaries are studying at their school level from Teresa Academy.
2 beneficiaries are pursuing their Master’s degree:

- Masters in Gender Studies- 1
