Maiti Nepal runs a workshop that trains the survivors in making handicrafts. Girls and women of Maiti Nepal, who are survivors of trafficking, domestic violence, rape, abuse, and other forms of violence, design and create handicraft products. The participants receive specific training in making beaded products, i.e., women’s accessories like bags, jewelry, and miscellaneous household wares.
The women at the workshop spend their days producing the finest hand-crafted products and participating in recreational activities. The workshop gives them a place to exhibit their talents and products and provides them with an economically sustainable future for an independent and dignified life.
