Building Self-Reliance Through Skill Development
14 individuals are taking steps towards economic independence through vocational training at Maiti Nepal’s Women Empowerment and Training Center in Itahari, Sunsari. Of them, six received computer training and eight received tailoring training. To help translate their skills into sustainable livelihood opportunities, five tailoring trainees were also provided with sewing machines, enabling them to pursue their plans to start small businesses of their own.
On 12 October (26 Ashoj 2083), the 40th vocational training programme concluded with a certificate and sewing machine distribution ceremony, attended by Ms. Sangeeta Kumari Chaudhary, Deputy Mayor of Itahari Sub-Metropolitan City, as the chief guest. The event brought together 57 participants, including representatives from the media, police, OCMC, local organisations, and the community.
Through skill development and access to opportunities, we continue to support individuals in building sustainable livelihoods and a more self-reliant future.
सीप विकासमार्फत आत्मनिर्भरताको यात्रा
आफ्नो सीपलाई आम्दानीको अवसरमा रूपान्तरण गर्दै आत्मनिर्भरतातर्फ अघि बढ्ने लक्ष्यसहित १४ जनाले माइती नेपालको महिला सशक्तीकरण तथा तालिम केन्द्रमा सञ्चालन गरिएको सीपमूलक तालिम प्राप्त गर्नुभएको छ। जसमध्ये ६ जनाले कम्प्युटर तालिम र ८ जनाले सिलाइकटाइ तालिम लिनु भयो। सिलाइकटाइ तालिम प्राप्त गर्नुभएकामध्ये ५ जनालाई सिलाइ मेसिन वितरण गरिएको छ। उहाँहरूले आफ्नै सानो व्यवसाय सुरु गर्ने योजना बनाउनुभएको छ।
मिति २०८३ असोज २६ गते (अक्टोबर १२) इटहरी उपमहानगरपालिकाकी उपप्रमुख श्री संगीता कुमारी चौधरीको प्रमुख आतिथ्यतामा ४०औँ सीपमूलक तालिमको प्रमाणपत्र तथा सिलाइ मेसिन वितरण समारोह सम्पन्न भयो। कार्यक्रममा सञ्चारकर्मी, प्रहरी, ओ.सी.एम.सी., स्थानीय समाजसेवी, बुद्धिजीवी तथा विभिन्न संघसंस्थाका प्रतिनिधिसहित ५७ जनाको सहभागिता रहेको थियो।
सीप र अवसरको माध्यमबाट सहभागीहरूलाई आर्थिक रूपमा सशक्त बनाउँदै आत्मनिर्भर भविष्य निर्माण गर्न सहयोग पुर्याउनु हाम्रो निरन्तर प्रयास हो।
