Maiti Nepal, in coordination with the Ward Committee for Countering Human Trafficking (WCCHT) under Kathmandu Metropolitan City, has initiated a series of community-level interactions across several wards to address the growing challenges of human trafficking and the rising risk of internal trafficking.

The first interaction was held at Ward 9, Gausala, bringing together WCCHT members, local police, and key stakeholders. The discussion focused on strengthening coordination and building a stronger collective response to manage and reduce the risk of internal human trafficking at the community level.

This initiative marks the beginning of sustained dialogues aimed at strengthening ward-level preparedness and collaboration against human trafficking across Kathmandu Metropolitan City.
