On the occasion of 16-day activism against gender-based violence, today, the Maiti Nepal team organized Shram Rastriya Secondary School of Chabahil, Kathmandu in coordination with Kathmandu Metropolitan City, Ward 7. Ms. Uma Tamang, Maiti Nepal’s legal officer, led an inspiring session for grades 9 and 10, spreading awareness coinciding with the 16-day activism. With this year’s theme “Unite! Invest to Prevent Violence Against Women & Girls!”, young students were enthusiastic to learn about anti-human trafficking and ways to combat any forms of violence. It’s a wrap for the 16-day activism, but the energy is certainly here to stay!
