मानव बेचबिखन रोकथाममा यातायातकर्मीहरूको महत्वपूर्ण भूमिका
माइती नेपालले विराटनगर र भैरहवामा यातायातकर्मीहरूका लागि मानव बेचबिखन तथा ओसारपसार विरुद्ध अभिमुखीकरण कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन गरेको छ ।
दैनिक रूपमा हजारौं यात्रुसँग प्रत्यक्ष सम्पर्कमा रहने यातायातकर्मीहरू जोखिममा परेका महिला तथा बालबालिकाको पहिचान, शंकास्पद गतिविधिको सूचना प्रवाह तथा मानव बेचबिखन रोकथामका महत्वपूर्ण साझेदार हुन्। कार्यक्रममा सहभागी चालक तथा यातायातकर्मीहरूले मानव बेचबिखनका संकेतहरू, जोखिम पहिचान गर्ने उपायहरू, तथा आवश्यक समन्वय र सूचना प्रवाहका प्रक्रियाबारे जानकारी प्राप्त गरेका छन्।
मानव बेचबिखन विरुद्धको लडाइँमा प्रत्येक सचेत नागरिकको भूमिका महत्वपूर्ण छ। सुरक्षित यात्रा, सचेत समुदाय र समयमै सूचना आदानप्रदानले धेरै जीवन बचाउन सक्छ।
Transport Workers’ Vital Role in Preventing Human Trafficking
Maiti Nepal conducted orientation programs for transport workers in Biratnagar and Bhairahawa to strengthen efforts against human trafficking and transportation.
As transport workers interact with thousands of passengers every day, they are important partners in identifying women and children at risk, reporting suspicious activities, and helping prevent trafficking. During the sessions, drivers and transport personnel learned about the signs of human trafficking, ways to identify vulnerable individuals, and the importance of timely coordination and information sharing with relevant authorities.
Every informed and vigilant citizen has a role to play in the fight against human trafficking. Safe travel, aware communities, and timely reporting can help protect and save lives.
