Maiti Nepal conducted mass awareness programs from 27 to 29 December 2025 across Makwanpur and Chitwan, focusing on human trafficking, child marriage, domestic violence, and safe migration. The initiatives combined household visits, community orientations, and drama-based awareness to engage communities in high-risk areas.

On 27 December, a household-level campaign was held in Bhimphedi Rural Municipalityโ€“1, Makwanpur, reaching families with key messages on trafficking risks, prevention, and community protection. The same day, a community orientation at the Community Police Hall, Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan Cityโ€“11, brought together local stakeholders to discuss trafficking methods, gender-based violence, safe migration, social media safety, and available support mechanisms.

On 28 and 29 December, drama-based awareness programs took place in Raksirang and Ekshya Kamaman Rural Municipalities, Chitwan, areas vulnerable to child marriage and domestic violence. Performances highlighted the emotional, physical, and psychological impacts of trafficking and violence, especially on women and children.

Nearly 1,000 participants, including students, teachers, and community members, attended the drama sessions and actively engaged in discussions. These combined programs strengthened awareness, promoted prevention, and reinforced access to community-level support and reporting mechanisms.
